RECONCILIATION

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also known as Penance and Confession.  The peace of mind and soul which this sacrament imparts to us in one for which there is no substitute.   It is a peace that flows from a certainty, rather than an unsure hope, that our sins have been forgiven and we are right with God.

Confessions are heard each Saturday from 3:30pm - 4:30pm or by appointment ( call our parish office at 609 268 8383)

Our parish reconciliation service takes place in Advent on Saturday December 9 at 10:00 am.  Priests from area churches will be available to hear confession.  There will be another service at St Joan of Arc Parish in Marlton on December 19 at 7:30 pm

First Reconciliation

First_Reconciliation_Preparation_Calendar_2017-18

We welcome children preparing for their First Reconciliation. It is through your family and within your family that your child will come to understand the sacrament of Reconciliation and the immensity of God’s love and forgiveness.

There is a two-year preparation period for the reception of sacraments. Generally children in the second grade are considered as having reached the age of reason, and thus ready to receive First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. In these younger grades, children receive two years of religious instruction typically but not exclusively beginning in first grade with additional preparation for the sacraments in the second year (typically but not exclusively second grade).

Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist in our parish takes the form of family instruction in addition to the monthly family faith formation sessions. (if your child is older and has not received First Eucharist, please go to our "Initiation for Children' page for more information)

The required sacrament information form for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are available HERE.
