Many of us are not as familiar with the Old Testament as we are with the New Testament. Some may ask, ‘Who wrote the forty-six books of the Old Testament?’; ‘When, why and for whom were these books written?’; ‘How can the laws, stories, histories, and prophecies be interpreted?’; ‘Should the Old Testament be read by itself or in light of the New Testament?’. Come join us as we examine not only the literature from a historical and cultural perspective but also interpret it theologically, drawing on the New Testament and the faith of the Catholic Church.
The parish community, as well as friends of the parish, are invited to attend! This program is designed for all levels of knowledge. Participants are encouraged to attend all 4 sessions.

2025 is the Jubilee Holy Year, the 2,025th anniversary of the Incarnation of our Lord, an "event of great spiritual, ecclesial, and social significance in the life of the Church." The concept of "Jubilee" has its origins in the Book of Leviticus (chapter 25) as a special year of reconciliation, pilgrimage, and coming home. Pope Francis has designated the 2025 Holy Year as a time to renew ourselves as "Pilgrims of Hope."
