Currently collecting School supplies

Even though it seems as though the children just got out of school, we are already planning to collect school supplies. We want to make sure that we will have enough school supplies to distribute to approximately 125 children in need on Friday night August 23, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

Education is a key factor in helping to break the chain of poverty in families. It is our hope to help the children of our families start their new year off in a positive manner to foster their success in school. We are requesting donations of School Supplies to be distributed to those children of families in need. Donations may be placed in the plastic containers located by the Poor Boxes in the church. A table will be set up in the Connector Café with more information. We are so grateful for our parishioners’ donations in addition to donation made in the memory of Charlie Green to make this a successful program.

The following back-to-school items are needed: back packs, canvas lunch bags ad lunch boxes, loose leaf paper, 1”and 2” binders (flexible or hard plastic), dividers with tabs, pocket dividers, pocket folders, 1,3, and 5 subject notebooks, composition books, 3x5 index cards, pencils, red, blue and black pens (regular and erasable),markers (regular and dry erase), colored pencils, crayons, highlighters, erasers, scissors, rulers, protractors, glue sticks, pencil bags and boxes, reinforcements rings (for notebook paper) graph paper and book covers

Our community is truly blessed to have such generous parishioners making donations of food, money, school supplies, and buying supermarket certificates. Your continued support in “Helping Us Help Others” is so greatly appreciated. Together we can make a difference one family at a time.
