COMMON VBS QUESTIONS:
Can my children be in their friend's crew?
We have mixed age crews here at Holy Eucharist. When you bring together a group of kids of various ages, the older kids are looked up to by the younger ones; the younger ones get to feel more like a “big kid” and might try new things; discipline problems virtually disappear, and genuine relationships sprout with ease. While your child might not be with a friend they already know, it is our hope and prayer that they will make new friendships. AND with past experience, they always do! Plus, there are many opportunities to see old friends too!
Can my child or children still attend VBS if we are unable to pay the registration fee?
Yes! We never let inability to pay to get in the way of any family attending our programs here at Holy Eucharist. Please contact our Director of Faith Formation, Donna Remaley at dremaley@holyeucharist.org for more information.
What is the Preschool Program?
This experience is for our 3 Year old's to 5 Year old's (ones that aren't going into Kindergarten just yet). It's still a great experience, but it's designed perfectly for their age. Our preschoolers get to enjoy moments with the "big kid crowd" each day through snack and our closing ceremony. Register your preschooler by clicking the image above.
How do you handle allergies (special situations) and snacks?
We take these situations very seriously. First, we put your child in a crew with either an adult or a seasoned older teen leader. We make sure to follow your lead on the needs for your child (ex: carry an epi-pen). Any allergy you list for your child, will be documented and communicated to both the crew leader and the snack station. Before VBS begins, we provide a snack list to our parents via email - if there is a snack your child can't eat, we ask that you provide a snack for them that day, and the crew leader will hold it for them until snack station. If what is listed above doesn't accommodate your concerns for your child, please let us know what we can do.
