FIRST EUCHARIST CALENDAR 2024-2025

We welcome children preparing to receive their First Eucharist! This is a memorable year in the life of your child and your entire family. In December along with members of their Holy Eucharist faith family, your child will celebrate the forgiving love and caring of Jesus in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The celebrating continues as you look forward to your child receiving Jesus the Bread of Life in the Eucharist for the first time.

In accordance with diocesan guidelines, there is a two year preparation period for the reception of sacraments. This means that children receiving First Reconciliation and First Eucharist must be enrolled in LIFT during first grade so that they are ready to prepare for and receive the two sacraments the following year in second grade.

Note: If your child is older and has not received First Eucharist, please go to our OCIA for Children page for more information.

EXPECTATIONS FOR RECEIVING FIRST EUCHARIST AT HOLY EUCHARIST:

  • Attendance at all preparation sessions in addition to LIFT sessions is required.
  • If a prep session is missed, assignments will need to be completed and a meeting with the Director of Faith Formation may be necessary. Missing a session could hinder your child’s advancement in the program.
